Does Buckland provide medical coverage?
Private health insurance is rare in China. Buckland recommends that teachers purchase their own health care insurance before leaving for China. Teachers can receive free medical care at the host school’s clinic for small problems such as a cold, and if necessary pay a low fee for medical care outside of the school. Buckland provides all teachers with standard Chinese accident insurance covering up to 80,000 RMB emergency medical cares.
