Just as Labor Day marks the end of Summer in the US, the August Bank Holiday in Britain, sadly marks the end of the vacation season. Of course people do still go on vacation, and the weather still might blow our minds by delivering up a few really good days, but psychologically, playtime is over for another year. What makes it even worse in England and Wales is that, between now and Christmas there are no long holiday weekends to look forward to – more than three and a half months of uninterrupted responsibility without a break in site.
