Does Britain have the strictest laws on animal experiments in the world?
The government and some researchers often claim that Britain has the toughest legislation and tightest restrictions in the world when it comes to protecting laboratory animals. It contains a number of restrictions on animal use, and requires that non-animal methods replace animal procedures where practicable.
