I live in the U.S. so I’m not sure that we have the same problem. For example, we don’t normally re-cycle our wastewater back into drinking water. Some places on the west coast have started to do that… but it is not widely popular. For good reason. We certainly do have the same problem of prescription drugs in our wastewater. Currently, our wastewater treatment plants are not removing these drugs (which would include birth control hormones) from the water. However, our drinking water standards are continually updated. The water that comes through our tap is somewhat reliable. There are some concerns about our aging infrastructure (old, rusty pipes) and the possible contamination after the water leaves the drinking water treatment plant. In my opinion it would be safer for U.S. citizens to drink tap water. In your situation I would try to find out where the drinking water treatment plant is for your area…. and go there and talk to them. Ask questions about the drinking water standar
