Does Botox work for all kinds of wrinkles?
No. Some wrinkles are created by years of sun exposure or from smoking, both of which prematurely age the skin. These are called static wrinkles and are not produced by underlying muscle contraction and do not respond to Botox. Dynamic wrinkles, on the other hand, are produced by the repeated action of contracting facial muscles on the overlying skin. Dynamic wrinkles are reduced by Botox injections.
