Does bleeding occur when you get an abortion through the surgical procedure?
Yes, certainly. How much depends on you, how far along your pregnancy was and how well you take care of yourself afterwards. (And the skill of the doctor.) For some people it is minor spotting, for others it is like a heavy flow period. If it is heavy for more than a few days or if you are changing pads more often then once every few hours see a doctor right away. Never use tampons right after any surgical procedure in that area. Too much chance for infection which can be deadly or cause sterility. Your doctor should discuss recovery and what to expect well before performing this procedure. If he doesn’t, find another doctor. Any surgery has it’s risks and recovery times and you should have all the information about them before deciding. Even if it is just having a tooth pulled and especially when it is serious like this. Not to scare you off. Abortion is one of the safer surgeries out there, but it is better to be too careful then not careful enough.
