Does bleach cure poison ivy?

From personal experience pure bleach on a cotton ball rubbed onto the affected area works better than anything I have ever tried. The itch goes away almost immediately and the healing time is cut in half at least. Every time it begins to itch again, rub some more on. It will only burn if the skin has been irritated by scratching and even this feels better than the miserable, constant itch. This method keeps the itch away for several hours. This also works on insect bites that itch such as chiggers & bee stings.
