Does black nail polish look bad in a job interview?
It depends on where you are applying. If you are going to an interview at a skate shop, music store, fast food joint, grocery store, Goodwill, etc., then I would say black nail polish is acceptable. However, if I was a hiring manager at a respectable business/firm, where employees are expected to dress and look professional, I would seriously question the sanity of an interviewee that thought wearing black nail polish to an interview was acceptable. Even if it is for a job where there is some leeway in dress/appearance or you are not going to be seen by the public (ie, a call center), most non-idiots should know that they shouldn’t go dressed up like Marilyn Manson to a job interview.
