Does Bill Belichick ruin the image of the Patriots?
He’s always done that stuff. He’s actually better than he used to be. He used to not even shake hands and he used to bad mouth teams. At least he doesn’t do either of those anymore. And honestly, his decision to go for it against Indy. I like that decision. It’s an aggressive move that I think wins him the game most of the time. To me, you make the decision that you think will win the game. You don’t make decisions to avoid hurting guys’ feelings. He made the decision he thought would best give him the chance to win the game. And I guarantee that most Colts fans in that stadium were hoping he’d just punt it and not go for 4th and 2. The better chance against the Patriots in that situation is usually relying on Peyton Manning and not on the Colts defense. The Colts defense does limit points but it tends to allow a lot of yardage. And to me, it showed that Belichick had confidence in his offense. Not a lack of confidence in his defense. I’m a Colts fan and I’ve knocked Belichick a lot of
Belichick hasn’t ruined the image of the Patriots at all. In fact, most interviews you read or hear on sports shows refer to the Patriots as the way to build and sustain a healthy franchise. If anything, you should be pissed off at the Jets coach for constantly flapping his jaw. He’s making an *** of himself and the raw raw raw crying antics in the locker room will get old fast to the players. He’s constantly talking about Bilichick and maybe Bill decided that the best way to answer is by taking it to his team. As for the 4th down thing… you win some you lose some. He did it again against the Jets but got the first down which I thought was a definite F U to the media second guessing his decisions.
