Salinas residents rushed into Best Buy trying to buy flat screen TVs, computers and laptops this morning. Dozens of people waited in line since Thursday to secure vouchers to buy discounted items such as computers for $500 and laptops for $200. But getting those deals didn’t come easy for Black Friday bargain shoppers. Leslie Carreon, 19, of Salinas had her Thanksgiving dinner at 11 a.m. on Thursday. After that, she drove to Best Buy and waited in line until the store opened its doors this morning at 5 a.m. Carreon, who is pregnant, sat in a chair for hours. Her family brought her food and she used a portable toilet placed in the store’s parking lot. “It wasn’t hard,” she said. “It was fun. I got a lot of good deals.” She planned to buy a digital camera and a laptop. The line wrapped around the corner even after the store opened.
