Does bereavement counselling work?

0

I have counselling for PTSD which was triggered by the death of my partner. I have found it helps to talk and open up to someone who does not judge you, but instead helps you to understand all the emotions and thoughts going through your body. Counsellors are trained to help you through some of the stages of grief. Please don’t be put off by the thought of talking to a stranger, sometimes that makes it easier for us to open up. If you don’t feel happy talking to someone you don’t know do you have anyone close to you who you could talk things through with instead? I am sorry for your loss and I do wish you all the best with whatever you choose to do.
