Does Benna milk contain sugar and salt?
Some consumers may be worried after reading on the nutritional information that milk has a content of sugar and salt. The sugar in milk is lactose. It is natural and is the product of all milk producing mammals including humans. It is classified as a sugar but should not be confused with sucrose which is what people normally talk about when saying ‘sugar’. Benna does not add sugar to milk, light yogurts, Irkotta or cheeses. The salt in milk is similarly derived from the cow. Benna does not add salt to milk. The amount in milk is very low at 50mg sodium per 100 ml. 50mg is another way of saying 0.05g.
