Does being a recruited swimmer help with getting accepted to Boston College?

I am able to offer help with Admissions. BC is a very high demand school right now – particularly with young women. It is a great education, right next to a great city, on a beautiful campus, and in a very safe neighborhood. Newton (of which Chestnut Hill is a village) has been chosen as one of the five safest cities in the USA over the past two years. The Admissions department does a great job of evaluating applicants and I am allowed some say in the application of swimmers and divers. It is however a two way street – the swimmers that get help getting into Boston College are as successful or more successful academically as the mainstream accepted applicant. The self discipline that our sport demands helps greatly in adjusting to college life and all the choices you start to make. Since every year the members of the swimming program do very well academically, we are held in good stead by Admissions. They know that the swimmers I speak for will succeed academically.
