No, it does not. Thus, if in your home folder (or in a folder that is indexed) you have a symbolic link to another directory, say work -> /media/sda2/mywork, the contents of that folder (/media/sda2/mywork, in this example) will not be indexed. To solve the problem, you need to add the actual folder (/media/sda2/mywork, in this example) to the indexed folders, e.g., by using beagle-settings.
