Does BASF offer trainee or entry programs for university graduates?
BASF does not offer any trainee programs in the traditional sense. Newcomers are taught the skills they need on the job, meaning you can put the theoretical knowledge you acquired at university straight into practice. A personal mentor will be assigned to assist you in a range of areas, while you will learn a huge amount from other members of interdisciplinary project teams. Furthermore, throughout your career at BASF (and not just during the first two years), you will attend specialist seminars and conferences in Germany and internationally. Economists can opt to start their career with us by taking the International Training on the Job program at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen or the Coatings Inside scheme at BASF Coatings in Münster. These programs last between 18 and 24 months, and usually include a placement at a BASF Group company outside of Germany.
