Does barometric pressure slow sound waves?
Sound Waves can be measured in amplitude and frequency where amplitude can be variable by the forces on it. Pressure is Force per unit Area therefore force and pressure have a direct effect on sound waves. At very high pressures you could see a slowing effect in sound waves, although I doubt you could see a high enough variance in the barometric pressure to actually see a significant enough difference in the speed of the sound waves to make any empirical assumptions.
