Does Barack Obama have scandinavian ancestry?
Unless there is concrete proof, via research, connecting Barack Obama to the ancestry mentioned above, and that research has been documented, you can not say with any degree of certainty that he is of Dutch/English ancestry. My ancestors moved from Germany to the Sweden and then to England, prior to immigrating to the Province of South Carolina, in 1749. That does not mean that I am of Swedish or English ancestry, on that particular branch of my tree. It simply means my ancestors migrated from point A to points B & C, before settling in a certain area. P.S. The link provided by the second answerer does not show any Scandinavian ancestry for the paternal or the maternal family of Barack Obama. It does show a maternal connection to pre-German ancestry, which could possibily be connected to Scandinavian ancestry, but only thru more indepth research and documentation.
