Does bandwidth restrict operations for Radio Frequency, Picking to Light, Automatic Equipment, etc?

• High bandwidth is required for high velocity manufacturing. Most warehouse transactions that would come through RF mobile units are short and relatively infrequent and thus can be used over lower speed connections like DSL. We have even allowed satellite warehouses to run at 56kbps. Picking by light and other interfaced equipment will require a dedicated local computer to manage the interface and the transaction rate on a pick-to-light or carousel could easily require very high speed connections. Due to either internet uptime concerns or to bandwidth issues, Infinite Functions would recommend a split server solution with one server local to the site.
