Not only does baking soda boost the power of your laundry detergent, it also can help you reduce the amount of bleach you use to whiten and brighten whites, without using AS MUCH BLEACH. I use baking soda plain with water on a sponge to get the grime off the stove (helps with absorbing odors and grease), I sprinkle it at the bottoms of garbage cans, then if one of the bags leaks, I know right away, plus it keeps the odors out, and helps to clean it out when there is a leak, I use if for removing soap scum in the tub without scratching my tub, I use it in the pool to keep the body oils down, and help the filter catch the body oils that normally would deposit on the sides of the pools (EWWWWWWWW……) and it also softens the water as well as make it SPARKLE.
