Yes. Students may add courses within the one week of the start of a semester. Students may drop courses, without consequence, up to two weeks after the start date. If they drop after the fourth week of class, they will be given and F on their transcript. That is why it is vital that they make a serious effort the first few weeks to be sure they want to continue. Dropping or adding of AVHS classes is to be done through the AVHS site coordinator. AVHS also publishes a drop-policy detailing when a student will be dropped for not working on the course.
