Does AVG Antivirus software have protection against hackers?
AVG Anti-virus is just an anti-virus program. It will protect against certain types of hacker attacks but not all. AVG Internet security is a full security suite and should provide reasonably good protection against a large majority of hacker attacks. As trevbrat03 above said the best kind of protection you can get is a hardware firewall. These are included in pretty much all modern routers. A combination of keeping your operating system up to date with the latest updates, good anti-virus software and a router with built in firewall for your internet connection should be adequate security for almost any home computer system that it connected to the internet.
