those who wear contacts may be more conscientious in knowing astigmatism than I am Astigmatism often brings awareness of depth perception concepts (not widely publicized but this must be true) The trouble with astigmatism in basketball is likely to be quick acquisition of depth measurements; If this can be done intuitively than you can ‘shoot blind’ based on a theoretical grasp; I find this difficult with my astigmatism, and have quit playing basketball, I simply don’t find it enjoyable, because it isn’t easy, although it is easy to understand
