Just by having those options available doesn’t mean it will drain your battery life any more than it does already. If you run out of battery life during the day and use your phone for business, then you probably shouldn’t choose to download games and play them on the phone that you use for business. Push email is already an option on the iPhone if you have a Yahoo account, and I have seen no reports that it reduces battery life at all. If anything you may use more battery because you are using the phone even more because there are going to be so many other useful applications. The applications aren’t going to drain battery life unless you are using them, so it really shouldn’t be an issue. Apple isn’t forcing you to download additional games or software or use push email, they are just adding the options for all of the people that want that capability.
