Yes! Certain cooking and processing techniques may decrease the nutritional value of the foods you eat. Cooking foods too thoroughly, especially vitamins may result in some loss of nutritional value. Like we mentioned earlier, processing such as canning may reduce some of foods nutritional value. This does not mean you have to eat all raw fruits and vegetables however. Simply consider gentler cooking techniques. You can for example steam vegetables to preserve much of their nutritional content. You may also stir fry, just be sure to leave a little crunch and therefore a little nutritional zip in the food you eat. Lastly but most importantly just remember its important to incorporate a wide selection of foods in your diet. The wider the variety of foods the more likely you are to get the nutrition you need from the foods you eat!
