Does anyone work at a animal hospital please help?
If you can handle cleaning up urine, stools, and vomit then you can probably do the job. They are going to ask you what experience you have with animals, what pets you have, if you’ve ever worked with or trained animals before. Are you afraid of larger aggressive dogs… stuff like that. Some questions you need to ask them: Is it possible to move up from kennel tech into vet tech later or do they only use certified techs in the clinic. What exactly are the responsibility’s of the kennel tech at their clinic (could be just cleaning cages, or could be doing medication and reading medical records and instructions from the vet) What hours do they expect you to keep, and will it include some weekends. If you will be doing vet tech work also will you be on call some nights or weekends. I’d ask for a tour of the clinic if it was me to get an idea of how clean and organized they were.
