Does anyone want to share experiences of CMMI-DEV application in small to medium organization?
Hi, We are a Application Development & Process Consulting firm based with HQ in USA and offshore center in India. We ourselves are CMMI V1.2 Level 5 organization. CMMI as a model has helped us in improvising our deliverables in terms of quality and ontime deliveries. Many large and small scale projects have been implemented using the CMMI framework and hence resulted in reducing the defect deliveries and last but not the least decreasing the variences in schedule and cost. However, implementing CMMI still seems to be a challenge in application support and maintenance. We have customised our CMMI implementation using some of the industry best practices as well. So overall it has been a success so far. We have focused more on improving our project management practices using QPM.
