Does anyone understand the difference between socialism and communism anymore?

Socialism is when control over the means of production is democratically in the hands of the working class, or ‘proletariat’. It is also called the dictatorship of the proletariat, as opposed to the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie…which is the reality of the current system. Characteristics of socialism include workers control over the production process, housing, food distribution, and all other aspects of society that affect people’s lives. Communism must be seen as the final objective of socialism because, as we know, trying to control capitalism is akin to herding cats…impossible. Communism is a state whereby classes no longer exist, money is no longer part of the exchange process, all private property is under democratic control, and resources are used for the benefit of ALL mankind and not just for the whims of the rich…which is the reality of the current barbaric, reactionary system! ONE SOLUTION…REVOLUTION !!!
