No, because not all rap/hip hop music is the same. I do understand why people come up with that kind of conclusion about rap/hip hop; the negative side is all they see on TV and hear on the radio. But for the most part their opinions are based on only one dimension of the genre (the mostly negative and stereotypical mainstream rap that’s force fed to us on a daily basis) instead of the genre as a whole. Not all rap/hip hop is like what you see on TV or hear on mainstream radio stations. There are such things as Christian rap, conscious (as in socially and/or politically conscious) rap, rap with no profanity, etc. So no, rap music doesn’t lead to “unacceptable behavior.” Actually in some cases, “unacceptable behavior” (or more specifically, the observation of it) leads to rap music. But it’s just like watching the DIY (Do It Yourself) channel doesn’t lead to carpentry, watching horror movies doesn’t lead to the desire to hack up teenagers and playing video games doesn’t lead to being a
