Perhaps this is a bit jaded, but I’ll offer it anyway. I don’t think that opening an eco-friendly product store would be a good investment today, unless possibly in a very upscale neighborhood and you have sufficient capital to stock lots of high-end merchandise and wait for two years or so before needing to generate an income : – ) If you see opening a retail store in today’s economy as an “investment” rather than a huge gamble, you may end up with a hobby rather than a business. If you can afford that, all power to you!
