Does anyone see flashes of light out the corner of their eye?

0

When I suddenly began to see flashes from the corner of my eye, I read about possible causes and, several days later, rang my GP. I was asked to go to the surgery immediately and the GP wrote a referral while he rang the hospital. It can be a sign of impending detached retinas so I needed an immediate examination in the eye clinic. Fortunately all was OK and just the lining at the back of my eye separating due to my age (I’m not exactly ancient) and being short sighted. When the same thing happened in the other eye, I followed instructions I’d been given, rang the hospital and was seen an hour or so later. Again, all well but I have a family history of detached retinas so worth checking and told to ring if any more symptoms start.
