Does anyone remember watching Rainbow Brite?
Both irritated my more educated sensibilities, making me sorry I’d ever agreed to have a TV in the family. Of course, if I hadn’t, my father-in-law likely would have bought one for us. Strawberry Shortcake was another one, along with Care Bears. Actually, the latter had a game that my wife bought and which I played with my daughter and her friend, and in trying to get the bad guy to win figured out that wasn’t possible. Yes, the game was rigged, much like the show. Crush? On Ms. Brite? I had a crush on Lady Aberlin on Mister Roger’s Neighborhood!
