Does anyone remember the Vickers VC-10 aircraft?
I remember flying the JFK-MBJ route on this beautiful aircraft many times as a boy in the 1960’s. In the dark blue and silver BOAC livery, with the “Speedbird” logo on the tail, this had to be one of the most beautiful commercial jets ever. The VC-10’s have not operated in commercial service for 20+ years because of their high rate of fuel burn, but a few are still in Tanker service with the RAF. –> Last edited by PaleBlueHalo; October 12, 2008 at 12:02 PM.
