Does anyone remember the Cole-Sewell storm door warranty?
I bought a Cole-Sewell storm door about 7-8 years ago. After approximately four (4) years the door developed some warping and cancer spots on the interior. Understanding that the door had a lifetime warranty, I called Cole-Sewell read them the serial number (from which they determined the manufacture date) and within two weeks they had sent me a new door. I thought- “hey great customer service – stand behind your product”. Within 4 years of installing the replacement the new door developed the same problems – cancer spots on the interior (particularly around the bottom window seal. I called Cole-Sewell – However Cole-Sewell is now Pella – and they no longer seem to want to honor the original warranty that I had purchased with the door. I’d like to hold them to the original warranty. But I cannot locate the original paperwork. Any similar experiences out there with Pella?
