Does anyone remember the Alaskan Pipeline promises of the 70s?
Dear Mal, I’m forty-six years old. I remember the Alaska Pipeline very well. I remember men from Ohio, where I live, going to Alaska making BIG money working on the Pipeline. When I talk to people about the promises the government made that there was going to be enough oil, so that the American people WOULDN’T HAVE TO DEPEND ON FOREIGN OIL, it makes your stomach turn! Gasoline here in Northeast Ohio is $3.25 per gallon. I don’t know how much it is where you live. I’m am s….o….. ready to leave the country for a warmer climate. The gas companies know they have us over a barrel, in Cold Country. Our winters her last forever. Just five years ago, we had snow in June, when my children got out of school! It’s disgusting. Thanks for the question and allowing me to voice my opinion.
