Yes, we had them as children. They were very impressive dark green with gold printing and I still have the four volumes. I particularly remember their explanation of evolution with giraffes with short necks. One was born with a long neck and because it allowed the animal to reach the best and more abundant leaves at the top of the trees, its freak long-necked gene became the dominant one and hence we have giraffes with long necks. They were brilliant!
