As I remember, it went something like this:- The Times is read by the people who run the country The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think they should be running the country The Guardian is read by people who think they do run the country The Daily Mail is read by the wives of those that run the country The Financial Times is read by the people that own the country The DailyMirror is read by people who haven’t got a clue who runs the country The Daily Worker (communist paper) is read by people who believe the country should be run by another country.
