Does anyone read the “Christians United for Israel” articles from John Hagee?
A valuable question Donna, and one which demands careful response if someone has concerns about these articles….it is all too easy to be perceived as anti-semitic, even if that is not the case. I do not want to make that mistake here. I do have concerns about Hagee’s ministry focus, but certainly not because I am against Christians aiding Jews or because his cause is not valid. First, my concerns spring more from experience, both in a Messianic Congregation and a Charismatic class which spent most of their time focusing on these issues…..usually to the exclusion of teaching or attention being given to the One who is to be exalted and proclaimed in the church above all else. When attention to good deeds, works of men or special interest groups usurp Christ, then the church is out of balance, misfocused and not nearly as effective as it could be. In these environments, I spent far more time hearing about news stories and how they (possibly) related to Israel and end-time prophecies,
