Does anyone own Canaries and Finches and house them together?
Yes, I have a 3 foot flight cage and have my two female canaries with 1 male European Gold finch and 1 female Eurogold and one female orange weaver. Some days, they also share the cage with one male Lutino Cockatiel and one normal Grey female Cockatiel. One thing I have to watch very carefully is that each one gets time at the food dishes. It is also very important that they get the proper diet for their species and breed. I also provide plenty of perch space. They “get along” but none of them seem particularly friendly toward one another. But they are all active and healthy. Every cage is an individual. What works for you may not work for me.
