Does anyone own a Sony RDR-GX120 DVD Recorder?
Have had this machine for 18 months and although you are supposed to be able to watch one channel whilst recording another, still have not been able to do this, the only recording it seems to make is if you press record and leave the TV on, (say late night recording) if the TV is on standby it still does not record, nor by using Video-Plus. It also makes a terrible humming sound and Smart Link keeps coming on and off in the display window (even when the Recorder is off). Have read the instruction book so many times and gone through it step by step, but still have not had any joy. Feel like throwing it out and starting again with a built in hard-drive to see if we have better luck!! Are these a better bet – we have a Bravia Sony TV only 18 months old also.
