Does anyone on here know a Holocaust survivor?
Several of my grandparents are Holocaust survivors. My maternal biological grandparents live in Israel. My grandpa said that the first time that they met a member of the IDF, my grandma started crying uncontrollably, because she knew that now there was someone to protect us. We would never go quietly again. They still keep their bags packed, and my grandpa has a few Uzis and M16s in the house, “just in case they try again.” We don’t like to talk about it. They both have numbers tattooed on their arms. They still believe in G-d.
