Does anyone not agree that spousal abuse heroine Mary Winkler should get custody of her three daughters?
I don’t know. Her doing her time doesn’t necessarily mean she’s sorry for shooting her husband. It doesn’t mean that the issues she has with abuse are resolved. She could be overprotective of her children to the point where she doesn’t want her three DAUGHTERS to date for fear of them endingup in the same situation as her. I’m not saying that women in her situation aren’t fit parents, I’m saying that she needs counselling or therapy or BOTH to help her heal HER own wounds before she tries to raise children and mend their wounds. It’s a long cycle, and we don’t want her children to end up in the same loop. About her in-laws – they may not condone what their son did to his wife, but they rightfully are concerned about the three girls because any way you see it, Mary Winkler shot someone. Self defense is one thing, but she went to jail. Obviously it wasn’t self defense. Mary was probably just tired of being abused or scared that her husband would kill her this time, but she wasn’t exonera
