Does anyone make great in-wall speakers?
Answer Hi Robert, I am a Polk Audio dealer and have Polk in-wall speakers in my main surround sound system. They are excellent quality speakers and are certainly not overpriced–if anything they are very reasonable in price considering their quality. If you have the right setup on the rear speaker wall locations I favor the on-wall speakers over the in-wall. There is better control over the operation of the speakers inside a speaker box than when mounted in the wall and this is the reason I prefer them. The in-wall speakers are mostly used when space or visual considerations take precedence over the sound quality. In my family room wall space and due to TV location, the in-wall speakers mounted in the ceiling were the best choice. They do sound quite good, but not really as good as a set of Polk tower speakers would. If you have the wall space and proper location for your surround speakers, certainly take a look at the available Polk speakers. It is best to use speakers from one manufa
