Does anyone lament the loss of Britains large manufacturing industry?
We all should lament the disastrous policies of the ‘eighties that allowed our manufacturing base to go to the wall. Other countries protect their heavy industries even though they are not supposed to. They see reality before theory. The only industry that was protected in Britain was the arms industry, which is why the King of Jordan died owing us billions of pounds for arms that the British Taxpayer funded for his heirs. And we saw recently how Blair was still protecting the merchants of death.
