you actually have a formula : ax2+bx+c (with 2 as quadratic) you first look for the number Delta (i’ll name it D) D=b2-4ac If D is superior to 0, then you have 2 answers If D is equal to 0,then you have 1 answer If D is inferior to 0,then you have none -If D is superior to 0, the 2 answers are: -b-(square root of D) -b+(square root of D) x=—————————— and x=——————————- 2a 2a -If D is equal to 0 the only answer is : -b x=——— 2a Hope this helped
