Does anyone knows a userfriendly and adaptable program that integrates production planning and warehouse management?
When you produce a lot of different products, with intermediate stocks and continuous replenishment of stocks with your clients, production planning becomes a major exercise in keeping everything up to level. We are working with some linear programming modules we have written to improve and optimize the planning but the flow of the planning taking into account several cost and demand variables is still difficult. I am looking for a simple but effective program that can easily visualise flows and stock levels throughout the plant and give options of planning to my people.
