Does anyone knows a drug named Bevidan?
A report linked adverse reactions in three people to their use of Chinese patent medicines for treating allergic and other diseases. The products that they used were purchased in local Chinese shops in Canada, said Dr. H.C. George Wong of the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. The products involved were: * Tong Shap-Yee’s Shuenchih Wan (“pill for easy breathing”), which contained aminophylline 200 mg and ephedrine HC1 1.3 mg. * Xiaoke Wan (“pill for thirst relief”), containing Radix Astragali, R. Rehmanniae, R. Trichosanthis, and glibenclamide 0.25 mg. * Bevidan (“capsule for arthritic pain relief”), which contained vitamin [B.sub.1] monophosphoric acid ester 300 mg, pyridoxine HC1 200 mg, cyanocobalamin 250 mg, and indomethacin 25 mg.
