Does anyone know where to find sewing patterns for kimono with obi?
The Yukata is a casual light cotton kimono for wearing in summer. Yukatas normally have very brightly coloured designs on them. Today these kimonos are mainly worn to the traditional Bon-Odori and summer festivals. Given the cotton material, you may be cold in England in June (I was there in July and still had on a sweater every day, especially with the rain at that time). You can find a pretty comprehensive kimono pattern at this website: http://www.japanesekimono.com/kimono_fab… bur keep in mind that the kimono pattern consists of four main strips of fabric. Two patterns form the panels covering the body and two panels for the sleeves. Additional smaller strips form the narrow front panel and collar. IA simple bathrobe pattern, with some adjustments can be made into a kimono. Check out this link for more information: http://www.ge
