Does anyone know what the price difference is between a tin roof and standard shingles?
You can buy a bundle of shingles for as little as $10, granted, these are about the lowest quality you can buy. The most common shingle that regular consumers are putting on these days is a 30-yr dimensional shingle; they sell for around $50 per 100 square feet. For pre-painted sheet metal roofing you will be around $130 to $160 per 100 square feet. The cost is quite a bit higher, but a well-maintained tin roof can outlast a shingle roof by 100 years.
