Does anyone know what sports are played in Finland?
When I lived there I noticed that LOTS of Finns are really sporty people. I watched several Ice Hockey games and nearly all Finns seemed to be crazy about this, my host father always watched Formula 1, my host familiy (all of them) were playing tennis a lot. In the winter time we all went skiing. Downhill can be only up norht (only some hills there) but cross-country skiing is done all over the country. I guess sailing/swiming is also very common, as of the number of lakes or the Baltic coast. My host family also played a lot of golf, too. Plus there is this nordic walking (walking really fast) which people do as well (when there is no snow for cross country skiing they take the same route and walk).
