Does anyone know what Judy Davis favorite role is?”
However, that was back around the time the film was coming out. She talked about how much she enjoyed working with Woody Allen (I think that was her first film with him) and maybe she was just being ingratiating in order to get more work from him. If so, she succeeded. I’ve liked her in a great many things, too. My Brilliant Career came out when I was a kid and we had just gotten cable TV and it aired quite often on one of the movie channels we had. She has always stuck with me since then and I’ve always remembered her from that whenever she has appeared in anything else. I didn’t fully appreciate the film when I was a kid but I saw it again a couple of years ago and thought she was wonderful in that. I haven’t seen her performance as Judy Garland, and I can’t say she hasn’t changed her mind about her favorite film since way back in ’92, but I often here stories of actors loving to portray other actors so I wouldn’t be surprised if that topped her list now.
